New Potato Salad

The best potato salad is made with a sugar-vinegar syrup (you can make a batch and keep it in your refrigerator for months)

Syrup
2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
boil until thick (watch that it doesn’t boil over)
Dice potatoes and cook until soft
Mix 1/4 cup of syrup and Dijon mustard to taste.
Chop dill (to taste)
Add salt (to taste)
Mix with potatoes
